Well, you all have heard about the "Cobbler's kids not having shoes".  How that should really go is the "Woodworker's Mom not having a new table"!  After years of wondering when her son would have enough time to make her a harvest table for her dining room, Chris (Shawn's mom) has finally gotten hers.  This salvaged cypress table measures 7 1/2' long and 43" wide.  The legs are hand-turned 6"x6" beams.  The top and aprons were made from 3" thick joists salvaged from a church built in the 1870's in Ft. Myers.  The beams featured "peg holes" which was how the original structure was constructed  (you can still see these holes - now filled - in the table's top).  Click on the church photo at the bottom of the page for more history.

Here is Chris at her new table...finally!
