The table and benches below were custom made for a family here in Sarasota.
The 9' long, 40" wide table is made from salvaged heart-pine flooring joists from a 1920's Sarasota, FL landmark.
The legs are tapered 6"x6" heart-pine beams with a connecting stretcher for more support!
Here are the Wises' new farm table, 9'+ long and 45" wide, made from heartpine
joists salvaged from Sarasota historic landmark "Granada Apartments", built for guests of John Ringling in the 20's.
While the building has been razed, hopefully its fun and quirky spirit will continue with the Wise family in Boca Grande!
This funky little table carries enough local history for a table 3 times its size!
Made from a pair of cypress shutters salvaged from the razed John Ringling Towers in Sarasota, FL, the table proudly boasts
the four awesome iron decorative hinges they wore when they hung. (click on the photo for more photos and story!)
Awesome 9-foot "stretchered" table with big 6" legs
This awesome farm table measures 9 1/2' feet long and is 33" wide. The top
is made from 3 wide joists salvaged from a Siesta Key, FL home. The base is a true rustic "pegged-tennon"
design.
This is an awesome example of the combination of new and old! A customer in Sarasota,
FL chose two pieces of stained/leaded glass and asked to have a walnut door built around them, then to "age and distress"
the wooden doors to match the age of the glass. The result - pure beauty! Click on the picture above for additional

This is a great variation on my traditional bench design. Custom made for a customer in Ft. Myers,
FL, this 5' bench is made from salvaged heart pine flooring planks and features a "splayed-leg"or "sawbuck"
style design.
These great 6' heart pine benches were made for the front porch of a home in the Tampa,
FL area.
This fantastic desk was custom ordered by local customers here in Sarasota, FL. It
measure 6' long, 30" wide and is made from 90-year-old heart pine flooring planks salvaged from a downtown Sarasota
train unloading dock. The building, which was razed in early 2007, was built by prominant Sarasota builder Owen burns
in the early 1920's.
This awesome bench and mirror set was custom made for Michelle here in Sarasota.
This is the epitome of recycling! The bench is made from a 4-panel door that was saved from a home built in the 40's
in the Payne Park area by Sarasota Architectural Salvage. An old salvaged window gets a dressing up with a
little help from an old bathroom mirror. Together, they add a little history to the entry of Michelle's home!
This farm table measures 6'
long and 28" across. The top is made from salvaged pine floor boards reclaimed from a barn on a peach farm in central
GA. Simple "shaker" style tapered legs give it a truly "home" feel.
